James OGDEN
He
was tried at
Manchester, Lancashire
on
20 January 1785 for stealing a purse, pieces of gold and silver of unknown value.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years
and left England on the
Alexander
aged about 19 at that time (May 1787).
His occupation was listed as labourer. He died in 1820.
